East Midlands COPD Network

Welcome to the resource site. We have tried to pick information that you will find both interesting and useful.

The information is not exhaustive, it is designed so that you can ‘get at’ the information you need rapidly.

In addition to evidence based information there is a section providing you with a number of examples of patient information tools, self management plans etc.

The network has produced guidelines for the treatment of COPD which are taken from the new NICE guidelines, but made more user friendly and practicable.

Advice for commissioners on oxygen and the East Midlands Oxygen Guideline is also included.

The site will change as new information becomes available and will keep you informed about the National Strategy on COPD.

The East Midlands Network has representatives from each of the County Respiratory Networks in Derbyshire, Leicestershire, Lincolnshire, Nottinghamshire and Northamptonshire.
